Sharing your Xbox One games with a trusted friend is a great way to save on games. You and a friend can take turns buying games and both of you can access them by changing your home Xbox setting.
In this article, we’ll look at how to share games on Xbox One, including a full description of the process and a few key points.
How to Share Gameshare on Xbox One
Find a trusted friend with whom you want to share a game. Get their Xbox Live login or invite them to sign in to your console.
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Use the LB to go to the tab with your player icon and select Add new.
Enter the email address and password for your friend’s Xbox account.
Go back to the Account tab and sign in as your friend if it doesn’t automatically sign in.
Press the Xbox button to reopen the guide. Use RB to go to the gear tab and select Settings.
Go to General > Personalization > My Home Xbox. Select Make this my home Xbox.
You can now visit My Games and apps from the home screen (even from your own account) and access all the games your friend has. To easily see the games you haven’t downloaded yet, switch to the Ready to install tab and select one to download.
After that, have your friend follow the above steps on their console with your account and you’re all set to game-share on Xbox One. You can download games owned by the other person, while using your own account to play.
